This VisitEngland 4* Gold rated quirky, pretty cottage nestles by the Green at the foot of the Norman town of Richmond. Facing west towards Culloden Tower and pretty meadowland. The town is around 5 minutes up the hill and the river and woods an even shorter walk away. ideal for early morning dog walks!

The cottage is split level and decidedly quirky. We converted it from a stringed instrument workshop and I used to buy my daughter's cello bows and strings here - hence the name. A long, long time ago, the building was apparently a cow byre.
